The Lisbon Pant — a relaxed, low-crotch wrap pant with a flowy silhouette that moves with you.

Ties at the waist and fastens with coconut shell buttons for a natural, adjustable fit. The intentionally low crotch gives it that loose, effortless feel — made for farmers markets, beach days, and everything in between. This is your everyday slow-living pant.

This is a beginner-friendly pattern. The pieces are wide and flat — no complicated curves or tricky seams. If you can sew a straight line, you can make the Lisbon Pant.

We love this pattern in thrifted bedsheets and tablecloths — vintage cotton, soft linen, worn-in deadstock. Give a forgotten fabric a second life and end up with something completely one of a kind.

SIZING

Each size range comes in two lengths — choose what works for your body.

XS, S, M — Short (waist 24–34", 40" length)
XS, S, M — Long (waist 24–34", 44" length)
M, L, XL — Short (waist 30–40", 40" length)
M, L, XL — Long (waist 30–40", 44" length)

The wrap waistband ties adjust to fit a wide range of waist sizes within each size group. When in doubt, size up.

FABRIC

Requires approximately 2–2.5 yards of fabric depending on your size and length.

Best in: thrifted bedsheets, linen tablecloths, cotton lawn, deadstock wovens, or any lightweight natural fabric. Avoid stretchy fabrics — this pattern is drafted for wovens only.

Love this pattern even a beginner can do this one, I was worried as I was just starting to learn. I have made one pair and on my second ❤️

This is one of the fastest purchase-to-sewn patterns I've used. I love the style and the customizable fit. I sewed these for myself but this is a great pattern to sew with friends or relatives in a craft night or two. I made mine from a sheet (left at my rental house), sewed and then batiked and dyed my pants after. The instructions are clear and these would be an advanced beginner project (there is the sewing of buttonholes.) I am 56, 5'3" and 165lbs and I sewed the L/XL sizing and customized my waist fit once I was done. Will definitely sew these again, no old sheets in my linen closet are safe now!

Hola, estoy empezando a aprender de costura, no sé nada absolutamente pero ví el patrón y me gustó, decidí guardarlo para cuando haya aprendido. Aún así, te doy 5 estrellas en apoyo a tu proyecto. Muchas gracias 😘

Great pattern. And easy to make. We used table cloths! Add to your directions the reminder to put right sides together when sewing the seams

These are genuinely the coolest trousers I own, the fact I made them is another level! I’m a sewing newbie and it was super accessible with the intructions. Only thing I’d say is page 7 took me a while to figure out and a photo might be helpful to show beginners like me where the new fold is meant to go! Also, personal preference but for the bottom hems I added interfacing, made the shape hold better for me! Genuinely tho, beautiful pattern, I’ll totally be making again thank youuuu! x

Great! The instructions were so extremely detailed that i think every beginner could easily sew these pants as a starter project.
But not just the pattern, also the general design is very thought through. I've gotten so many compliments for the pants already :)
